Hello!
As any person who has ever spoken to me for more than five minutes at a time can tell you, I do speech and debate. Last summer I was lucky enough to win a national championship in impromptu speaking. In theory that'd mean I get to spend this year winning tournaments and breezing through competition. That's not what's going to happen though because our coach moved to Virginia and the school couldn't be bothered to get us a new one until last week. As much as I love our new coach, they have very little experience teaching speech, so I've decided to take this on myself. Through RIT's Public Speaking course, I'll be learning more about the theory behind the public speaking, hopefully allowing me to become a better teacher and leader for my team mates. Maybe it'll even make me a better speaker too!
